Struggles Can Discourage or Encourage
(Romans 5;3-5 NLT) “3. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”
“My mom says life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” – Forrest Gump. This statement is as simple as it is true. Monday morning you could wake up on top of the world, by Friday night you could be about to end it all. Do the world a favor, don’t. If you’re still here on earth, it’s for a reason. God isn’t done with you yet, and there is still so much you can give to the world. Society looksat times of trial as times where we should be crying or depressed, constantly focusing on the negative. The Bible says the exact opposite. The Bible says that we should rejoice in times of hardship, understanding that these times build endurance, character, and hope. Now you have to look at those trials and tribulations in the face and make a decision. Who’s going to lead your life, the world, or God? Make the right choice though, your peace, your joy, and your soul depends on it.
P.S. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do
